Athlete Marco Ferreira won the Porto Half Marathon held this Sunday, once again demonstrating his talent by climbing to the highest step of the podium in the race in the Invicta city.
The runner from União Desportiva de Várzea was the fastest in the M50 category with a time of 1:14.45, establishing himself as one of the reference athletes in his category.
The Porto Half Marathon brought together approximately 15,000 athletes from 94 countries, who covered the 21 kilometers of the race between Porto and Gaia. This year, the course was renewed, with the return to the city of Gaia through the Luís I Bridge, crossed on the lower deck in both directions.
The race started and finished near Jardim do Passeio Alegre, on Avenida Dom Carlos I, with the starting shot fired by Fernanda Ribeiro, Olympic champion and a prominent figure in national athletics.
