There is a small village in the Serra da Lousã that appears to have been suspended in time, characterized by its houses built from schist. This village is situated at an altitude of 770 meters, placing it in an elevated and relatively isolated position in the mountains.
The village has an interesting particularity regarding its urban structure: it had only one street, which was closed as a protection measure against wolves. This decision to shut the only access road suggests that the presence of wolves in the region posed a real threat to the inhabitants and their animals.
