Ricardo Batista achieved fourth place in the penultimate stage of the World Triathlon Championship, held on September 13 in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. Frenchman Dorian Coninx was the winner of this stage.
With this result, the athlete from Torres Novas Swimming Club (CNTN) moved up to third place in the world triathlon rankings, accumulating 3082 points in the overall standings.
The championship is also led by a Portuguese athlete, from Benfica, placing two Portuguese athletes at the top of the competition standings.
