LIPOR receives young Mozambican scientist as part of partnership with Girl Move Academy

SAPO Notícias14 September 2026 at 09:02

LIPOR hosted during the month of September the young Mozambican scientist and designer Reziana Isaac, as part of a partnership established with the Girl Move Academy. This collaboration aims to provide the young woman with an immersion experience in the activities of the Portuguese organization.

During her stay, Reziana Isaac had the opportunity to closely learn about various projects conducted by LIPOR, covering areas such as urban waste management and recovery. The training also included exposure to biodiversity promotion and ecosystem restoration initiatives.

Additionally, the young Mozambican scientist was able to engage with LIPOR's environmental education and community involvement teams and programs. This experience aims to strengthen skills and knowledge that can be applied in the development context of Mozambique.

Why this matters

This collaboration allows a young Mozambican scientist to benefit from practical training in environmental management and waste recovery at a leading European organization. It also strengthens the ties of cooperation between Portugal and Mozambique in the field of sustainability and knowledge sharing on the circular economy.
