The return to basic education classes is marked this year by a shortage of teachers, a situation that repeats itself at the start of the new school year. Thousands of students face the beginning of classes without teachers in various subjects.
The Minister of Education acknowledges that the teacher placement system is too slow, which contributes to the difficulties in covering vacancies in schools. This slowness in the placement process results in classes without teachers and children without adequate support.
The situation affects schools throughout the country, with reports of teachers teaching subjects for which they have no training and of classes that have not yet started. Many schools continue to search for teachers to fill the open positions.
