Federal Police reports point to "willful participation" and "manifest authority" of Augusto Lima, former partner of Banco Master, in the fraudulent operations between the institution and BRB that occurred between 2024 and 2025. The documents became public after part of the investigations' secrecy in the Master case was lifted by the president of the Supreme Federal Court, Edson Fachin, to Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the inquiries.
Augusto Lima's defense rejected the information contained in the PF reports. In a statement, his lawyers stated that he left the partnership and direction of Banco Master on May 28, 2024, before the period investigated. The defense reaffirmed that there is no basis to attribute to Lima the illegal acts mentioned and expressed confidence that the investigation will be conducted in a technical and impartial manner.
Augusto Lima is a Bahian businessman owner of Credcesta, a benefit card aimed at municipal and state public servants. Credcesta originated in Bahia and later expanded to other states.
