Manifestation on Vorcaro's cell phone will be another test for Fachin, who tries to avoid 'turmoil' in Moraes trial

The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, will have another challenge in conducting the trial that could open an investigation against Alexandre de Moraes. On Sunday, ministers engaged in yet another clash over procedures that could affect the session scheduled for Tuesday.

After a series of manifestations, Minister Cristiano Zanin ordered the Federal Police (PF) to send to his office a copy of the full content of Daniel Vorcaro's cell phone, owner of Banco Master, and was shortly followed by Gilmar Mendes with the same determination.

Hours earlier, his colleague André Mendonça sent an official communication to Fachin, reinforcing his position against sharing all of this material. Now it will be up to the president of the STF to forward the issue so that there is no "procedural turmoil," in Mendonça's own definition.

Amid the escalation of the crisis in the Supreme Federal Court, Fachin adopted a series of measures last week aimed at avoiding turmoil.
