China called for the creation of "security barriers" for artificial intelligence, in a context of rapid advances in the domestic sector and growing warnings in the United States. The call comes at a time when the country is intensifying the development of AI technologies.
The warning occurs during a period of intense activity in the Chinese sector. Companies like DeepSeek, Moonshot, Alibaba, Tencent and Zhipu are in strong competition, using open models, low prices and rapid commercial implementation.
This technological race is taking place despite restrictions imposed by the United States on the export of advanced chips to China. Nevertheless, Chinese companies have managed to advance with their developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
