Ricardo Blat is confirmed for the second season of "Emergência 53," a series available on Globoplay. The actor, who is in recovery after undergoing a bone marrow transplant due to leukemia, will revive the character Pastor Oséias. In an interview with the column, Blat revealed that he filmed his scenes during chemotherapy treatment.
The series was a ratings success on the platform. The show became the original fiction series with the highest consumption in hours considering the first seven days of release on Globoplay, being especially popular among audiences aged 18 to 44.
The production follows professionals at an urgent care mobile service unit in Rio de Janeiro. Yara de Novaes portrays the coordinator of the unit, while Emilio Dantas and Heloisa Jorge play doctors. Valentina Herszage, William Nascimento, and Raquel Villar are also in the cast.
Filming for the second season will begin later this year.
