Spanish rider Marc Márquez (Ducati) won yesterday the San Marino MotoGP Grand Prix, taking advantage of the crash by Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), and took the championship lead, tied on points with Jorge Martín (Aprilia).
Marc Márquez completed the 27 laps of the Misano circuit in 41 minutes 13.013 seconds, finishing with 657 thousandths of a second ahead of his brother Álex Márquez (Ducati), second place, and 2.326 seconds ahead of Pedro Acosta (KTM), third place.
Bezzecchi, who started from pole position, crashed while leading the race, allowing Márquez to achieve victory. With this result, Márquez tied Martín at the top of the World Championship standings, taking the lead because he has more wins this season.
