Livre accused the Government of conditioning Parliament's work through the announcements of the IRS tax cut and pension bonuses. This accusation was made during the party's rentrée, at a time when the State Budget discussion is approaching.
Isabel Mendes Lopes, from Livre, guaranteed that the party will present its own proposals within the scope of the next State Budget. The party leader thus expressed the intention for the party to actively participate in the budgetary process.
The announcement of measures such as the IRS tax cut and bonuses for pensions was interpreted by Livre as an attempt to limit Parliament's capacity to intervene in defining budgetary priorities.
