Madrid is set to start autonomous taxi testing, which operate without the need for a driver. This project positions Madrid as the third European city, after London and Munich, to implement this type of transport technology.
The autonomous vehicles will operate under supervision, meaning that although they do not require a physical driver, there will be remote monitoring during the tests.
The trips will be made through the Uber platform, which is expanding its mobility services offering to include vehicles without a human driver.
