EasyJet pilots in France postponed the strike that was scheduled for September 13 and 14, moving it to September 24 and 25, 2026. The decision was made after the resumption of negotiations with the airline's management, announced the French airline pilots union (SNPL).
The SNPL stated that the pilots' mobilization allowed the resumption of a more serious dialogue with the company management. However, the union expressed vigilance, indicating that firm commitments on the main demands have not yet been obtained, particularly regarding schedule stability and working conditions.
The pilots have denounced the chronic instability of their schedules, noting that it is common for a pilot to end the month with a completely different roster than initially planned. The SNPL lamented that EasyJet refuses to grant pilots the same conditions agreed with the cabin crew in August, even though they operate the same aircraft and schedules.
In August, EasyJet cabin crew in France carried out a two-day strike against the deterioration of working conditions, which resulted in an agreement providing for five days per month with fixed rosters and compensation for changes exceeding two hours.
