OFI Crete has stepped back from an agreement for Greek midfielder Sotiris Alexandropoulos once again. The Greek club made a new approach to Sporting CP in an attempt to secure the player, but ended up pulling back again without presenting any formal proposal.
The 23-year-old player is currently linked to Sporting, who hold the midfielder's sporting rights. Negotiations between the two clubs did not progress beyond this initial approach.
This is not the first time OFI Crete has shown interest in Alexandropoulos and ended up withdrawing without reaching an agreement. The Greek club had previously tried to sign the player, without success.
With this latest withdrawal, Alexandropoulos remains at Sporting, possibly awaiting other transfer opportunities in the market.
