Via Rápida 1 (VR1) is experiencing this morning a congestion of about 1.5 kilometres on the section between kilometre 16 and kilometre 17.5, in the Ribeira Brava–Machico direction, specifically on the Santo António–Santa Luzia subsection.
The information was reported by the official traffic system of the road, designated as Infovia, which points to the ongoing maintenance works as the reason for the constraint observed.
According to the current works map, this road restriction is associated with two interventions taking place simultaneously in that area of the VR1, these being the direct cause of the reported congestion.
