From April 9, 2026, requests for spots in nurseries covered by the Free Provision Measure have been made exclusively online, through the Social Security App or Portal. This change represents a significant shift in how parents and guardians can apply for places in public or partner nurseries.

However, the measure provides for an exception: if the in-person registration was made before April 9 and there is already confirmation of admission by the nursery, it is not necessary to submit a new request through online channels.
