Maroon 5 closed out the 2024 edition of Rock in Rio at the Mundo Stage this Saturday (12), solidifying their place as one of the festival's favorite artists. The Californian band already has history with the event: in 2011, they replaced Jay-Z when the American rapper canceled his performance, and in 2017, they did it again when called upon to perform the next day after Lady Gaga also canceled her appearance.
Adam Levine, the 47-year-old lead vocalist, was the center of attention during the show. A spectator commented during the performance that "this guy doesn't age," referring to the frontman's charisma and energy that kept the audience engaged throughout the night.
Much like Levine, the band's repertoire also proved to have aged well. The audience responded with enthusiasm to nearly every song, ready to embrace once again the American band's radio-friendly pop. The performance began with an introduction of "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys before Levine launched into his own hits.
