The house of the former Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, was broken into on Friday night (11). The information was confirmed on Saturday (12) by authorities and by a spokesperson for the political adversary's campaign of current President Donald Trump. Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, live at the location, but were not home at the time of the break-in at the property in Malibu, California.
The individual was identified only as a woman by Fox News and the TMZ website. The intruder was detained and prevented from advancing inside the residence by the former vice president's private security, according to her spokesperson, Eduardo Negrón. Police were called immediately to the scene, but no arrest was made.
Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present at the time of the incident, but are grateful for the quick response of security and the police officers who responded to the call, according to Negrón's statement. Officers from the Lost Hills Sheriff's Department in Malibu responded to the scene.
