The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, assumed this Saturday the rapporteurship of a procedure involving Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The investigation is part of the Master case investigations.
The procedure had been opened by Minister André Mendonça to separately analyze information found by the Federal Police that involves a member of the STF. After Fachin determined that any procedure regarding potential investigation of Court ministers should first go through his office, Mendonça sent the case to the Court's Presidency.
Upon receiving the records, Fachin formalized the transfer of the rapporteurship to the STF Presidency. The case directly involves Alexandre de Moraes, who will now have his own case analyzed by the Court president.
