The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, determined this Saturday that the Federal Police report, within 24 hours, who maintains custody and what is the state of the material extracted from banker Daniel Vorcaro's cell phone. The decision was made after ministers Cristiano Zanin, Alexandre de Moraes, and Gilmar Mendes requested a full copy of the media extracted from the device or, alternatively, that the content be requisitioned from the PF itself.
The requests were presented separately by the three ministers, who wanted access to the full copy of the media extracted from Vorcaro's cell phone. As an alternative, they requested that the STF itself requisition the material from the Federal Police.
André Mendonça stated that the existing copy in his office is only a backup, remains sealed, and has never been handled by him. The minister provided clarification about the content, stating that the original material is in the custody of the Federal Police.
