The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, announced this Saturday two meetings with the unions of the security forces, after the associations representing PSP and GNR announced several demonstrations from north to south of the country. These meetings arise as a response to the mobilization of police officers.
The associations representing the members of PSP and GNR require concrete and immediate guarantees from the minister to stop the announced protests. Only through commitments personally assumed by Luís Neves will the demonstrations be suspended.
The planned protests cover the entire national territory, from north to south of the country, demonstrating the extent of the discontent among the security forces. The situation places pressure on the Ministry of Internal Administration to find solutions that satisfy the claims of the officers.
