People from diverse cultures took to the streets in Lisbon today in a march integrated in the Festival Todos. The event was described by the organization as a march of celebration, bringing together participants from different cultural backgrounds.
The organization regretted the absence of politicians at the event, despite having made calls for their presence. The Lisbon city council expressed support for the march, but even so no political representative attended.
The Festival Todos was thus again marked by the lack of political presence, repeating a pattern that had already been observed in previous editions. The organization had expressed the expectation that political figures would attend this celebration of cultural diversity in the Portuguese capital.
