The Attorney General's Office (PGR) asked the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, that all ministers have full access to the data extracted from former banker Daniel Vorcaro's cell phone before the trial scheduled for Tuesday (15). In the document, the Attorney General of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, reiterated the request made previously and defended that all ministers have prior access to the complete data necessary to analyze the case.
The request increases pressure on the rapporteur of the case, Minister André Mendonça. In recent days, Cristiano Zanin, Alexandre de Moraes, and Gilmar Mendes also defended that the complete content of the device be shared with the full court before the trial session.
Zanin was one of those who asked Fachin for access to all the data from Vorcaro's cell phone. Mendonça reported that the device is in the custody of the Federal Police and that it only has a sealed backup copy.
Zanin challenged the justification presented by Mendonça, and Moraes reinforced that the rapporteur cannot decide alone which documents will be accessed by the other ministers of the court.
