Anthropic's CEO, the company behind the AI assistant Claude, called for a slowdown in the development of artificial intelligence and the implementation of greater controls over the technology. The executive warned that, without these measures, AI may become difficult to manage and regulate.
The company argues that, if the pace of development remains unchanged, the technology "may exceed the capacity to understand and control these systems." This concern arises at a time when Anthropic competes directly with other major technology companies in the development of increasingly advanced AI systems.
