A plane with 174 passengers and 6 crew members made an emergency landing on Saturday morning (12) at Santa Genoveva International Airport in Goiânia. According to airline company Gol, the aircraft experienced technical problems during the flight.
According to the airport's press office, the plane had departed from Goiânia heading to Congonhas Airport in São Paulo. It was necessary to declare an emergency, and the aircraft returned to Goiânia Airport, where it landed normally, without incidents. The airport reported that the operation received the support provided for in airport protocols.
In an interview with TV Anhanguera, a Rede Globo affiliate in Goiás, a passenger said that he and the other occupants felt as though the plane was going to crash. According to the account, many people screamed and felt sick during the emergency situation.
In a statement, airline company Gol stated that all actions related to the operation were taken with focus on passenger safety. The company reported that all impacted customers are receiving the procedures provided for by ANAC Resolution 400, according to each person's needs.
