President Lula participated this Saturday (12) in a rally in downtown Curitiba, where he spoke to supporters about national political topics. During the event, Lula addressed various issues, including scandals involving INSS and Banco Master, in addition to criticizing the conduct of Supreme Federal Court (STF) ministers.
The president raised the tone of his criticism when addressing the Master case and the episode's connection to STF ministers. Lula stated that "no one can be a Supreme Court minister to get rich," describing the position as a "priesthood" and saying that ministers must have "a standard of behavior above the average of society."
The Master case involves investigations into alleged irregularities and their possible connection to STF members. Fachin rejected a joint session to hear cases involving Ministers Moraes and Mendonça at the court, while Flavio stated that the information released in the lifting of bank secrecy shows there are no irregularities against him.
When commenting on the INSS scandal, Lula stated that approximately R$ 3.5 billion have already been returned to approximately 5 million beneficiaries, indicating government efforts to repair the damages caused by fraud at the agency.
