Benfica should be able to play with spectators the first home match in the new edition of the National Women's Rink Hockey Championship. The Sports Arbitration Court accepted the precautionary measure presented by the red-and-white club, provisionally suspending the one-game closed-door punishment that had been applied by the federative Disciplinary Council.
The sanction originated from incidents recorded in the stands during the match played in Gulpilhares, referring to the final of the last national championship. In that final, Benfica's team won the 13th consecutive national title in their history.
Following the federative decision, the Benfica structure decided to formally contest the sentence at the Sports Arbitration Court. If there is no definitive decision by the date of the match, Benfica may receive the CRIAR-T team with their fans present in the stands.
