Benfica secured the signing of Martim Pereira, a central defender born on March 18, 2008, through a loan agreement valid until the end of the 2025/26 season. The young player arrives at the club from Alverca, following the same transfer model previously used for Felipe Lima.
Martim Pereira began his sporting career at UD Alta de Lisboa, later going through the youth ranks of Sporting and GS Loures. Over the last four seasons, the defender was linked to Alverca, where he continued his developmental progression and took his first steps in professional football.
In the past 2025/26 season, the young central defender played 16 official matches for Alverca, five of which were for the B team. This competitive experience weighed on Benfica's decision to invest in the player as a strategic reinforcement for the defensive sector.
By completing the move to the Eagles, Martim Pereira expressed immense satisfaction at the opportunity to represent Benfica, declaring that all a player desires is to wear the jersey of the Lisbon club.
