FC Felgueiras lost at home to Penafiel, this Saturday, in a match counting for the sixth round of Liga 2. The game took place at Estádio Dr. Machado de Matos and ended with the Felgueiras side's defeat by 1-2.
The first half was evenly contested between the two teams. At the 27th minute, Juanda opened the scoring for the visiting Penafiel side, a result that was maintained until halftime.
In the second half, the team managed by Moreno Teixeira came out determined to turn the score around, and Samuel, at the 62nd minute, restored equality. However, near the end of the match, Clau Mendes, at the 83rd minute, set the final score at 2-1 in favor of the Penafiel side.
Despite the negative result, the blue and garnet side remains in 12th position with 6 points, while Penafiel rises to the lead, provisionally, with 12 points. In the next round, Felgueiras visits Benfica's secondary team, on October 12, at 6 PM.
