Canoeist Ana Sátila won the gold medal in the C1 (individual canoe) event at the Slalom Canoe World Cup in La Seu d'Urgell, Spain. This Saturday, the 30-year-old Brazilian completed the best run of the final in 103.85s, ahead of Spaniard Miren Lazkano (104.55s) and Czech Tereza Kneblova (104.64s).

This was Ana Sátila's first medal of the World Cup season. She had not reached the podium of a competition of this level since September of last year, when she won silver also in C1 at the stage in Augsburg, Germany.
