The exploitation of internet services by clandestine groups was elected the main problem in Niterói's Oceanica Region in a poll promoted by GLOBO, ended last Friday (11). The option obtained 30.77% of the votes, surpassing other concerns of the residents of the region.
The theme outpaced the annoyance with home robberies, which got 23.85% of the preferences, and with heavy traffic, which came to lead the poll but ended with 22.69% of the votes. The criminal activity of these groups will be covered in numerous reports by GLOBO-Niterói next week.
The action of these clandestine groups consists of sabotaging the formal network of internet operators and, then, offering their own services to the residents of the area. On the last day 31, the operator Leste Telecom reported to have been a victim of this type of criminal practice.
