Taxis operating at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon will now practice fixed prices for trips to the Portuguese capital. The measure takes effect from October 15 and covers only taxis that join the new protocol established for the airport.
According to the new price schedule, during the day, trips to zone 1 cost 16 euros, while trips to zone 2 cost 19 euros. The values are fixed regardless of the specific route within each zone.
During night periods, weekends and holidays, prices rise to 20 euros in zone 1 and 23 euros in zone 2. This fare distinction aims to cover periods of higher demand or lower vehicle availability.
The objective of this measure is to provide greater transparency and predictability to passengers using taxi services upon leaving the airport, eliminating the uncertainty associated with traditional taximeters and allowing travelers to know the cost of the trip before starting the journey.
