The Madeiran parliament sent an opinion to the Assembly of the Republic expressing these concerns.
In the document, the Assembly of Madeira advocates that the future model of the news agency should ensure "balanced territorial coverage" and the maintenance of regional delegations, considering that matters with direct impact on the right to information of the populations of the autonomous and peripheral regions are at stake.
