The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has opened a call for applications to the "Regional Workshop on Strengthening the Implementation of Justification and Appropriateness Criteria in Radiological Examinations", which will take place between 7 and 11 December 2026, in Zagreb, Croatia.
The workshop will be conducted under the framework of the RER9165 technical cooperation project, which aims to improve radiation protection and safety in medical exposures. The main focus will be on strengthening the implementation of justification principles and appropriateness criteria in the performance of radiological examinations, reflecting the growing importance of this issue for the safety of patients and healthcare professionals.
Interested professionals must submit their applications through the InTouch+ platform, provided by the IAEA's Department of Technical Cooperation, using event code EVT2602494. The deadline for submitting applications is 14 September 2026, at 12:00, Lisbon time.
