Researchers at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), located in Vila Real, are developing the BIOsCherry project. The main objective of this initiative is to increase sustainability, productivity and quality of cherry production.
The project will test biostimulants in Trás-os-Montes and Fundão cherry orchards. This approach aims to improve the performance of cherry tree crops through more sustainable solutions.
UTAD released this information through a statement. The project represents an effort to strengthen cherry production in the region, combining technological innovation with sustainable agricultural practices.
