Adega do Cedro, located in Portugal, was inaugurated in June after an investment of 27 million euros, positioning itself as the first winery in the country to incorporate the most advanced technology in the wine sector. This production facility represents a milestone in the modernization of the Portuguese wine industry.
The winery has just received its first harvest, marking the beginning of operations in practice. The process is characterized by high automation at all stages of production, from the reception of the grapes to the bottling of the wine.
The complex has 3,500 sensors distributed throughout the infrastructure, allowing detailed and precise control of each phase of the production process. This intensive monitoring aims to maximize the potential of the grapes, ensuring the ideal conditions for transforming the raw material.
Additionally, the Winery of the Future implements specialized systems to reduce water and energy consumption, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability. This combination of cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices positions the winery as a model of innovation for the sector.
