MC Cabelinho performed his third show at Rock in Rio this Friday (11), this time on the Espaço Favela stage. The singer, from the Pavão Pavaozinho community in Rio's South Zone, took the festival's main stage dedicated to Black and periphery music, after already having performed previously on the Sunset stage. The artist was also joined by TZ da Coronel during the show.
The funkeiro stated he was very happy with the opportunity to perform at the festival again. He recalled that he had already performed on the Sunset stage and also at Rock in Rio Lisbon, but highlighted the importance of sharing the stage with another favela artist. Cabelinho praised Espaço Favela for offering a prominent space for community artists to showcase their talent.
With his participation in the festival, MC Cabelinho sees the opportunity to reach new audiences. The artist mentioned that the festival works as a way to "break the bubble," allowing his work to reach people outside his usual audience. He performed on the same day that K-pop artists also performed at the event.
