After a week of negotiations, forward Richarlison had his transfer to Vasco fall through. The agreement was not finalized on Friday, on the last day of the transfer window, leaving the negotiation incomplete.
The Tottenham player spoke for the first time about the case in a video posted on social media. In the video, Richarlison thanked president Pedrinho and explained the reasons why the negotiation did not progress.
Richarlison stated that he had conversations with Pedrinho and with Felipe, making it clear from the beginning that he wanted to play for Vasco until December. According to him, other clubs presented proposals, but the priority was Vasco, which is his favorite team. The player said he came very close to having the contract signed.
The forward explained that Tottenham reached the limit of allowed loans, which prevented the completion of the deal. Richarlison thanked the Vasco fans for the various messages received and stated that he intends to try again in the future.
