The Datafolha poll released this Friday places Benedita da Silva (PT) in the lead of the race for one of the Senate seats in Rio de Janeiro, with 18% of voting intentions, a growth of 3 percentage points compared to the previous poll. On the 4th, voters from Rio de Janeiro will be able to choose two candidates to take office in Brasília.
In second place are Carlos Jordy (PL) and Carlos Portinho (PL), both with 10% of voting intentions, a growth of 2 points each. Both are candidates supported by current senator and presidential hopeful Flavio Bolsonaro.
However, the PL names are technically tied within the margin of error, which is three percentage points up or down, with three other candidates: Pedro Paulo (PSD) and Marcelo Crivella (Republicanos), with 7% each, and Monica Benicio (PSOL), with 6%.
These three candidates are also technically tied with Waguinho (Republicanos), who adds 3% of voting intentions, completing a group of six candidates competing for close positions within the poll's margin of error.
