A minute of silence was observed this Friday at Ground Zero, in New York, during the ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The ceremony featured the participation of family members of the victims, who read the names of the nearly 3,000 dead in the terrorist attacks.
The tribute was marked by moments of great emotion and by the preservation of the memory of the victims.
The event took place at the site where the Twin Towers previously stood, which were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
