Madeira will be under yellow warning due to hot weather during the weekend and beginning of next week, due to persistently high maximum temperature values. According to the meteorological warnings from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the South Coast enters yellow warning at 9 am this Saturday, September 12, remaining on alert until 6 pm on Monday, September 14. On the North Coast, Mountainous Regions and Porto Santo, the yellow warning takes effect at 9 am on Sunday, September 13, also remaining until 6 pm on Monday. The yellow warning is the least severe on a three-level scale and indicates a risk situation for certain activities dependent on meteorological conditions.
