Striker Richarlison intends to leave Tottenham regardless of the English club's decision on Vasco's purchase proposal. Since Saturday, the player's staff has notified the Spurs based on Article 14 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, which provides for termination due to "Abusive Conduct," involving intentional actions of harassment, isolation, and pressure from one of the parties.
Vasco made a proposal of 10 million euros for 50% of the player's economic rights, a value considered below what Tottenham wants. The English club, to date, has not agreed to terminate the contract amicably, leaving negotiations at an impasse.
The legal basis used by Richarlison is based on his exclusion from Premier League matches. The striker believes he was a victim of abusive conduct by the club by being passed over for call-ups to the English league matches.
The player's contract with Tottenham runs until mid-2027, with a clause that allows renewal for another year at the English club's discretion. With the FIFA action underway, Richarlison is seeking an alternative to leave England and play in Brazil, even if Vasco fails to reach a direct transfer agreement.
