Flamengo on track for the Libertadores semi-finals

Flamengo, managed by Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim, took a significant step towards the Copa Libertadores football semi-finals by winning 2-0 at the Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle's stadium, in the first leg of the quarter-finals.

The match took place at the home ground of Independiente del Valle, which represents Ecuador. The Brazilian side Flamengo secured a victory of two goals to nil.

With this result, Flamengo is in a favorable position to advance to the next phase of the South American competition. The second leg of the quarter-finals will be played at a later date.
