São João das Lampas hosts, on Saturday, September 12, the 48th edition of the Half Marathon of São João das Lampas, one of the most traditional athletics events in the municipality of Sintra. The race starts at 5:00 PM and includes the traditional 7th Half Ramp, over a distance of 13 kilometres.
The event is organized by Meia Maratona – Animação Desportiva of São João das Lampas, in partnership with SRDFS de João das Lampas, with the support of the Parish Council of São João das Lampas and the Sintra Municipal Council.
Between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM, road closures and traffic restrictions are expected throughout the Parish of São João das Lampas, due to the holding of the race.
