Forward Iñaki Williams officially announced his farewell from the Ghana national team at the age of 32. The player, born in Bilbao but with Ghanaian roots, decided to end his international career with the team managed by Carlos Queiroz.
Williams represented Ghana on several occasions, having made his debut for the national team in 2021. During his time with the Ghanaian national team, the player accumulated significant experience at the international level.
The decision comes at a time of transition for the Ghana national team, which remains under the command of Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz. The Colombian coach, who had previously managed other African national teams, continues to lead Ghana's national team.
With this farewell, Iñaki Williams closes a chapter of his career dedicated to the African national team, now choosing to focus exclusively on his club, Athletic Bilbao, where he continues to play in the Spanish League.
