Hulk, the Brazilian striker who played for FC Porto between 2008 and 2012, revealed that the Porto club received a 60 million euro offer from Manchester City for his transfer, but decided not to accept the offer and kept him in the squad.
According to the player, FC Porto did not want to sell him under any circumstances, preferring to keep him at the club. This decision came at a time when Hulk was a key player in the Porto team.
The player eventually left FC Porto during that transfer window, but did not head to England as the Manchester City offer had suggested. Instead, Hulk transferred to Zenit in Russia, where he continued his career.
Hulk explained the reasons that led him to choose Zenit over other destinations, opting for a different sporting project from what was being offered by English football.
