Veterinarians in Piauí that offer discounts on care for adopted pets will be recognized with a certification seal. The initiative aims to encourage responsible adoption of dogs and cats throughout the state.
The seal will be granted to veterinary clinics that voluntarily participate in the program, through a partnership agreement with the state government. The interested establishments must commit to offering discounts on veterinary services.
To receive the certification, clinics must guarantee at least 15% discount on care for dogs and cats that have proof of adoption. The measure aims to reduce costs for guardians of rescued animals.
