Migrations: Irregular entries to the EU fell 35% in the first eight months of the year

Irregular entries to the European Union fell 35% between January and August this year, compared to the same period of the previous year.

This reduction contrasts with an increase in migratory flows recorded through southern Spain.

The data refers to the external borders of the European Union, where authorities monitor irregular arrivals.

The overall downward trend does not apply to all routes, with the Western Mediterranean being one of the exceptions with the highest migratory pressure.

Brussels approves another 6.1 billion euros for Ukraine's air and missile defense

The European Commission approved an additional 6.1 billion euros for Ukraine to acquire air defense and anti-missile systems, ammunition, drones and electronic warfare equipment.
