Next week, the price of gasoline will drop 6 cents per liter, while diesel will rise 4 cents per liter. This forecast is advanced by the publication 'Contas Poupança' and aims to inform drivers about changes in fuel prices.
Based on these predictions, the average price per liter should be 2.15 euros for diesel and 2.04 euros for gasoline. However, these values are merely indicative, based on the most recent market close.
The final average will only be set at the end of the day, and may still undergo changes depending on the evolution of international oil quotations. Furthermore, the final cost at the pump may vary according to the fuel station, brand and location.
The Government decided to reduce the extraordinary discount on the Tax on Petroleum and Energy Products, cutting 1.47 cents per liter on diesel and 0.21 cents per liter on gasoline.
