Pedro Passos Coelho, former Portuguese prime minister, signs the preface of a book by Pedro Gomes Sanches where he leaves warnings and challenges for Luís Montenegro, the current prime minister. In the preface, Coelho warns that the time available for carrying out structural reforms is running out, transmitting a message of political urgency.
This warning comes at a time when Montenegro faces significant governmental challenges. Passos Coelho, who led the executive between 2011 and 2015, uses his intervention to leave guidance and reflections on the direction he considers necessary for the country.
In addition to the editorial collaboration with Pedro Gomes Sanches, Passos Coelho is also working on a study on the Portuguese economy. This work is expected to be completed and delivered to the Government by the end of the year, representing a contribution from the former party leader to the national economic debate.
